Micellar Cleanser Tranex 250ml

As its name suggests, micellar cleansers contain “micelles”. These “micelles” are microscopic clusters of cleansing molecules, suspended in de-ionised water. They are hydrophobic and oil-loving, grabbing and absorbing dirt and makeup, without breaking or upsetting the skin’s natural lipid barrier the way a foaming or rinsing cleanser does. Our micellar cleanser is alcohol, soap, ethoxylate and paraben-free. It can be used as a gentle makeup remover, or as a non-rinse cleanser for both sensitive and oily, acne-prone skins.

Tranexamic acid provides a powerful and specific anti-inflammatory action, inhibiting pigment production in melanocytes. At the same time it also blocks the transfer of pigment from melanocytes to cells in the upper layers of skin. While doing all this, tranexamic acid calms the skin and helps restore the skin barrier. The science of  Tranexamic acid is the biggest breakthrough in the management of melasma in the past decade. It is a synthetic derivative of the amino acid lysine. Since it’s structurally similar to tyrosine, it could also potentially slow down the production of melanin by tyrosinase (as a competitive antagonist). As a leave-on product, Tranex Micellar can safely be layered with other tranexamic acid serums and creams, to achieve a higher net dosage of tranexamic acid.

Niacinamide is an effective skin brightening compound that works by inhibiting melanosome transfer from melanocytes to keratinocytes.

Phytic Acid extracted from cereals, regulates pigmentary disorders such as hyperpigmentation, pigmentary rebounds or spots due to aging, by inhibiting tyrosinase, the enzyme that is implicated in the production of melanin.
