As its name suggests, micellar cleansers contain “micelles”. These “micelles” are microscopic clusters of cleansing molecules, suspended in de-ionised water. They are hydrophobic and oil-loving, grabbing and absorbing dirt and makeup, without breaking or upsetting the skin’s natural lipid barrier the way a foaming or rinsing cleanser does. Our micellar cleansers are alcohol, soap, ethoxylate and paraben-free. They can be used as gentle makeup removers, or as a non-rinse cleanser for both sensitive and oily, acne-prone skins. And…because they are low pH, they don’t disrupt the skin’s acid mantle and pH balance either.

 

But most importantly, since they are no-rinse and ‘leave-on’, they function as more than just cleansers. They are active cleansers, meaning they not only cleanse but also become the first layer of your skin treatment. The active ingredients in the cleanser are not rinsed off, as they would be with a conventional foaming cleanser.

 

Niacinamide, N-acetyl-glucosamine (NAG), caffeine and ribose confer multiple skin benefits – pigmentation, anti-aging and anti-acne, amongst many others. Additional biomimetic moisturising factors help replenish your skin’s Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF), leaving your skin soft and beautifully moisturised.

Use in the evening and/or morning.

Usage Tips:

• Start with two cotton pads soaked in micellar cleanser and apply to closed eyes for about 20 seconds

• For stubborn mascara, fold a soaked pad in half and hold under the eyelid. Wipe downwards with another soaked pad. Do not wipe sideways or in a circular pattern

• For the area below the eye, draw the pad out towards the outer eye corner

• Apply the soaked cotton pad to your face. Start with your cheeks and work up to your forehead, then finish with your neck

• Remove in the right direction: from the neck to the chin and from the nose to the ears. Focus on the T-zone (forehead, sides of the nose, mouth and chin)

Follow with treatment products suitable for your skin concern.

Note that the use of AHA’s may make your skin more sensitive to the sun, so be certain that you apply a broad spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 15 while using this product, and for a week after you discontinue use.
