LED Mask Kit Gen 2

The OptoDerm Gen 2 LED Face Mask is a portable, hands-free LED phototherapy device that is ideal for home treatments or as a great add-on treatment for in-clinic use. LED therapy or photobiomodulation is the application of specific light energy to tissue to obtain beneficial effects.

The Gen 2 Face Mask emits four different wavelengths – each targeting specific skin concerns at cellular level and inducing specific therapeutic effects. The light energy activates photoreceptors which trigger the cell’s metabolic processes, boosting ATP (adenosine triphosphate) production and leading to increased cell proliferation and improved cellular activity. With an increase in ATP, skin cells have more energy to support optimal cell functioning, resulting in an overall rejuvenated appearance.

Wavelengths
415nm – Blue Light – Effectively targets and eliminates acne-causing bacteria and reduces inflammation and redness associated with acne.
590nm – Yellow Light – Significantly lowers skin redness – beneficial for rosacea or other inflammatory conditions. Aids in melasma treatment by counteracting hyperpigmentation.
660nm – Red Light – Stimulates collagen and elastin production, aids in the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles and promotes faster wound healing.
830nm – Near Infra-Red – Penetrates deeper into tissues than red light (660nm), accelerates wound and tissue healing while reducing inflammation and pain, and stimulates mitochondrial function in cells.
